Kyrie is getting her first pair of Nike shoes, and she doesn’t like them.
The New York Knicks star said in a recent interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols that she wears them in a pair of “Nike Air Max xs,” which are “the biggest sneakers on the planet.”
“I just can’t stand them,” Irving said.
“The ones in New York City, the ones in Paris and London.
I’m like, ‘Nah, I don’t like these.
They’re so boring.’
I hate them.
I think they’re ugly.”
When asked whether she wears Nike Air Maxx sneakers, Irving said, “Yes.”
“Why do I need to have them in New Zealand?”
Irving said in the ESPN interview.
“It’s a big country and there are so many things you can do in New Zealand.”
Kyrie’s decision to get her first Nike shoe was not made lightly.
Irving was referring to the company’s partnership with the U.S. government to distribute sneakers to children who are currently receiving services from the government. “
They are such a cool brand.”

She was asked if she would consider wearing Nike AirMaxx shoes in New Hampshire in 2020, a state where she’s attending college.
Irving said she would, but only after the government had done more work on its shoes.
“I’m not going to be doing it until the government has done more for the kids in New England,” she told Nichols.
“That’s what I’m looking forward to.”
Irving also had this to say about the future of her basketball career: “I want to play more basketball in the NBA.”
